... with the lips curled in smile.
I've seen this face a lot lately, it's the smile Ethan gives me that says,
"Mom, I'm smiling at you to make you happy because I know when you're happy I am happy."

I see it in genuine situations, where he is just happy and I'm happy and he wants me to see that he's happy :).
And I see it when he's misbehaving or right after his behavior has been corrected ...
needing reassurance that I can still be happy with him.
He's holding my Mother's Day present he made at preschool. A bouquet of flowers. One of the flowers is on a clothespin clip, so I can use it to hold a photo. I love it!
And here is a picture from his "Spring Sing" at preschool this evening. So funny to watch that many 3,4 & 5 year olds on a stage with a captive audience for 30 minutes :). Ethan inherited his father's "love of singing" and prefers to do his own thing, throwing in the occasional action to the song (or in this case his own action).

A performer he is not ... well at least not the singing and dancing kind.
Maybe a comedian ... seriously, click the picture to enlarge that silly face!
Happy Thursday!
(1. Chatting with Ethan over breakfast (mostly him sharing about preschool) 2. Ethan spent the better part of the day building an apparatus out of Kid K'nexx to attack "aliens in saucers." 3. A little bit of spring/summer shopping for me 4. Watching Ethan's Spring Sing 5. Eating a BIG bowl of strawberries topped with a bit of whip cream!)

What a cutie! The second pic is hilarious!! They are so much fun at this age. Your flowers are beautiful.
What a funny boy! He needs to come over and play with K'nex with the boys! They would love it!
What a ham ;)
He comes by it honestly!
Love it! (Although I don't like it when my 3rd graders do that during my program...). :) But E can get away with it!
Happy Mother's Day tomorrow!!!
