Catch up ...

... from Friday and Saturday.

5.09.08
  1. A relaxed day with no real schedule.
  2. Getting this week's Knitty Bitties orders done so I could take the weekend "off" :).
  3. Taking dinner to Matt and eating at the office since he was putting in a 16 hour day!
  4. Picking up my Mother's Day present with Ethan - hanging flower baskets and a bouquet of flowers. After I arranged the bouquets into two different vases, he told me one was "beautiful" and the other "lovely". Then he remembered his verse, "God made everything beautiful."
  5. Even though I didn't go to bed until almost midnight, I went to bed happy with all that I'd gotten done and all I got to do today!
5.10.08

(A lovely picture, and our only picture, of our Saturday morning spent together. Why oh why am I so bad at remembering photos with family?!?! Oh and forgive my squinting, I forgot my sunglasses in the car!)
  1. My sister and I celebrating an early Mother's day with my mom. This is our third year of walking the "Race for the Cure" together. I love that it falls on Mother's Day weekend. Not just for our benefit, but because breast cancer touches the lives of so many mothers. It's a wonderful way to spend a morning.
  2. Enjoying lunch and shopping after the race.
  3. Watching my mom open her gift, knowing she would love it ... but watching her cry tears of happiness because she really loved it!
  4. Enjoying a family BBQ, hosted by my SIL. The kids went in on a digital picture frame for my mother-in-love (and early father's day for my FIL) and had it pre-loaded with pictures. So much fun to watch them open it and then watch the pictures together.
  5. Feeling so lucky to have two beautiful women in my lives that set such a wonderful example of being mothers ... and that I'm on the receiving end of so many blessings from both of them!

I'm sure I've said it before, but it bears repeating. I couldn't be the mother I am without my children and what they give to me. You are a wonderful mother, wife, sister and daughter. We are all blessed to have you in our lives.
