Headbands ...
I've always loved the look of headbands. I think because it's an easy way to dress up your hair and turn a bad or so-so hair day into a good hair day. They are especially wonderful for summertime when I seem to pull my hair back by noon. I think I may be making quite a few more of these as I'm also trying to grow my bangs out (since my hair will never be as cute as Heather's which is kinda what made me cut them ... and it just didn't look right on me) and they nicely hold them out of my face and look so much more stylish than a bobby pin :).

Hooray for new shoes!
It just so happens that the new headband goes quite well with my new shoes.

Now tell me, are these glorified "Crocs"? Because if so I really have to eat crow because I've forever made the bold statement that Crocs should only be worn out in public by small children. The grown population should save them for around the house and yard work. But now I fear I've succumb to the "comfort" of these shoes and fully intend to wear them out and about. However, let me say it here ... I will never wear these to church ... just as NO ONE should wear any form of Crocs to church.

I'm so happy I went with the red, they make me happy ... they make me sing this song ...
Hooray for "Everyday in May."
1. Snuggling with Ethan this morning, talking about our day 2. A little "me" time while Ethan was at preschool, even if I mostly got a head start on this weeks sewing 3. Spring rainstorm and the way the air smells 4. Bunko 5. Just smiling at the end of the day because of how thankful I am for it.
Oh and that other thing ... Hooray for a winner!
BECCA!! Tell me which of the three recipes you'd like me to bake for you ... I hope they do inspire you to make them more often. Owen (and Byron) will love you even more! :).
Thanks to everyone for playing along ... I should give Sara the prize since she's the only one that left me a recipe to work with ;).
Happy Tuesday!

Congrats Becca, bummer for Amanda...really I'm a huge ccc fan and I guess will just have to go make my own. ;o)
Ok, I purposely didn't post because like most everything you make, I have no self control, and if you were to make me cookies I'd be in big trouble. I do love the headband and the shoes (I've always agreed about crocs, but I do believe your new shoes are public appropriate).
Cute headband! I need to wear those more often.
I have a bit of a different outlook on where you can wear crocs. I love the ones you have on. They are really cute. I don't see anything wrong with wearing them to church. Bryson is only 2 but he wears them to church every once in awhile.
Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
I rarely win anything... so I am soooo excited!!! Thank you for picking me!!! My mouth is watering from the thought of your delicious cookies!!!
I am sorry for not providing recipes. So, here goes for the ones that I have on hand...
TACO SOUP:
1 lb hamburger, browned
1 can sliced olives
1 can kidney/pinto beans, drained
1 can stewed tomatoes with juice
1 can tomato sauce
1 can water
1 pack taco seasoning
Corn-optional
Add all ingredients to a crock pot and cook (usually 4 hours on low). Add sour cream and shredded cheese (to individual's bowls) and scoop with tortilla chips.
Here is one of my favorite desserts to make.
ECLAIR SQUARES: (Kelly has had this, so you can ask her if it is any good or not)
2 pkgs Instant Vanilla Pudding
3 c milk
9 oz. cool whip (or 8 oz.)
1 lb. Graham Crackers
THEN
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp karo syrup
3 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
Beat pudding and milk for 2 minutes, fold in cool whip. Make a single layer of crackers in a 9x13 pan. Spread 1/2 the pudding over crackers, add another layer of crackers, spread remaining pudding, add one last layer of crackers. FROSTING: Melt choc. and butter in microwave (do not overcook!). Add syrup, milk, vanilla and powdered sugar, beat or mix until smooth. Spread over last layer of crackers and refridge. 10 hours or overnight. Cut into squares. Yum-O.
For your cookies I choose: Snickerdoodles. Again... Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Seriously love the headband & the shoes. I got new shoes this weekend from Nana for my b-day. :) Happy early b-day to me! They are ADORABLE. I'll have to take a pic. Still thinking of the red shoes too though...
