Are you ready?

For the re-cap of the last three days ... in list form ... for my "Everyday in May" record?

5.16.08
  1. Starting out our morning playing with our neighbors ... sidewalk chalk and playing at "Emily's park" (aka, the mega swing-set structure in their backyard)
  2. Playing outside and enjoying a "picnic" lunch on the front porch with Bethany and Claire.
  3. Making peanut butter blossom cookies ... YUM.
  4. Delivering a "new baby" meal to friends and enjoying more time playing!
  5. Walking with Erin.

5.17.08
  1. Picking up Aunt Julie and going to Farmer's Market downtown (Matt was working, so it was Julie, Ethan and I)
  2. Enjoying the sights and smells of the market, eating cookies, nuts, dried fruit and mini doughnuts.
  3. Thanks to Julie, I was able to get in 3.5 hours of uninterrupted sewing while Ethan played at her house.
  4. Dinner with Julie when I picked Ethan up (Matt was at his soccer game and Mike got called into work.)
  5. Catching up with Matt, enjoying some of our favorite TV together.
5.18.08
  1. A great morning at church - discovering we need to talk to Ethan more about "giving" to God (financially speaking). We asked him if he wanted to put his two quarters in the offering. We explained that the offering was money we give back to God. Ethan thought about it and said, "okay." Then he said, "How does He get the money in heaven?" So we explained it goes to help the church run, etc. He quickly said, "No thanks, I want to keep it so I can buy something for me." :)
  2. More sewing time - while I wanted to nap (a Sunday must in my book) I choose to get my last sewing projects completed. I also managed to get a card made which was a nice distraction from more sewing!!!
  3. After the boys woke up from their naps we went to dinner at Johnny Carino's. YUM! We used one of my many "birthday" coupons and I indulged in their Italian Nachos (thanks to Kelly for helping me discover this treat) which had my new favorite food, pepperocini's, on them!
  4. Delivering a house warming present to Kelly and going for a walk with the girls. Bethany met meet there and Andrea was there too! A fun time to talk without kiddos.
  5. Going to bed knowing all my sewing orders were done and I had a fresh start to the week.
5.19.08
  1. Starting the morning with a morning "wog." I managed to run a full 10 minutes, took a small walking break and ran about 4 more. I'm getting closer to my 3 mile run days of a year ago.
  2. Picked up sandwiches from a new bakery/deli for Bethany and I.
  3. Enjoyed an hour of chatting with Bethany on her deck while the kids played in water. It was a beautiful morning and they had a lot of fun ... much laughing!
  4. A nap for me ... my treat after a LONG weekend of sewing.
  5. A cute new headband and red shoes ... both of which I meant to photograph but didn't ... maybe tomorrow?
(Knitty Bitty Needle Case - a special request order from Alicia to hold all her knitting/crochet needles.
I hope she loves it!)

(Inside showing the three rows of lots and lots and lots of pockets!)

Tomorrow - I'll draw a winner for some homemade cookie love. HOWEVER, when I asked you to share your current favorite food, I was actually wanting you to share a recipe ... as in giving me some fresh ideas. And really, one poster is quite comment happy (she must really want my cookies) and I'm not sure she's following directions very well (unacceptable given her profession) ... but no worries, I will only count those comments that have something to do with food :).

Happy Monday and a very Happy Birthday to one of the dearest (and incredibly talented in so many artistic ways) people ... Jenn!!

obviously, I can't stand surprises.... I LOVE IT!!!!! YAY!!! It will be perfect! I will make sure to take some pictures of it filled with needly goodness, and send them to you! You don't understand the needle mess I've got goin' on right now. DPN's in a flower pot, circs in a yarn store bag, straights ALL OVER THE PLACE....I can never find what I need, and now...I'll be the picture of organization, well, as far as needles go, the yarn, now that's another story.

Also wanted to say, about your last post, I love how often I see shirts on EE and Judah has the same one! We have similar tastes! Well, and there's about 1/8 of the option for boys clothes out there as opposed to girls.

I really want a case for my crochet hooks, I've been wanting one for awhile, but the one you made is just so cute! Consider this my official order. Fit it in whenever you can, use whatever fabrics you want, I'll pay whatever your asking!
Oh, and I'm feeling rather lucky, getting to see you three days in a row :)
