... is SO huge.
I think I made it clear in my last post that my heart is definitely at home raising Ethan. But, I'm also a creative soul who needs to create. So to get to be home with Ethan and creating and making a teeny tiny bit of extra income for our family, well it's all too good to be true.
In January when I decided to concentrate on sewing projects for Knitty Bitties (verses knitting and applique shirts that I had done previously) I had no idea how it would go. I think it never hurts to try and there was little, if any, risk involved. So for this to have turned into something so wonderful humbles me. And seriously, it's not like I'm making much money ... I've used most of my profits to purchase my sewing desk and extra fabric and supplies. I *think* I'm probably underselling myself a bit, but I'm enjoying what I'm doing and business is going way better than I ever imagined, so for now I'd say I'm in a really good spot!
Here's a few numbers for fun:
Aprons made ~ 26
Totes made ~ 31
"Other" projects ~ 2
Orders not yet completed ~ 11
Isn't that amazing? It is to me. Thankfully I think I've fumbled through most of my mistakes and now feel pretty good about how things are going. I've set a good schedule/routine for me that seems to be working for the family as well. Now I just wish I had a bit more time for some "extra" sewing. To try my hand at some baby dresses, booties, monkeys, lambs and more tote ideas :). Some day, some day ...
So thank you to all of you that have had a hand in my success (those numbers of there make me feel successful) ... buying from me, telling others about me and I'm positive some of you have prayed for me :).
I'll let you in on a little secret ... I'm having a one day sell on my birthday ...
MAY Promotion - To celebrate my birthday, I'm offering a ONE DAY sale on May 24th. Place a custom order for an apron or tote (any style or size) and receive 24% (for my birthday) off. The catch? I will only offer 5 (for my birth month) of these. Watch for the promotion listing on May 24th!
Watch for more details!
Happy Tuesday ... I need to rest up, tomorrow is cutting day (as in cutting all of this week's orders).

Only 5? Well I might just have to set the alarm on the 24th to catch that deal.
