Guilty Pleasures ...
I love cake.It's really terrible for me, so I try to only indulge in this guilty pleasure every few months. Today I needed to get clever quick and make up something tasty for Mother's day. I know what I want to get/make for my mom and my mother-in-love, but given everything with the market preparations, well they just didn't get done yet. So I thought I would put a little note in their card that said,
"Here's a sweet treat to tide you over until your real gift is ready."
Cute, right?
Then I remembered seeing a post about "cupcakes in a jar." And I remembered all the hype I've read about FatDaddyBakeShop cupcakes on Etsy (also cupcakes in a jar). Perfect.
So I made up a batch of carrot cake cupcakes, some cream cheese frosting, a little layering, a few sprinkles and waaahhh-laaahhh, a sweet treat for Mother's day.
Guess who else is going to indulge? Mmmmm.
Another guilty pleasure ... that I've been indulging in way too much lately?
The Real Housewives of New York City.
There I said it. I'm not proud of it, but I really, really, really like this show (I just can't bring myself to type that I *heart* the show). I've caught up on most all of this season and know it just about as well as I did The Real Housewives of Orange County (thankfully I did not get hooked on the TRHoAtlanta ... not that I have anything against Atlanta, I just missed that season). And guess what is getting ready to start this Tuesday? The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Oh my!!

The Real Housewives of Wherever?? Really? I'm surprised. My guilty pleasure...hmmm....I'll have to get back to you on that.

Those look delicious! Such a cute idea too! I'm a little surprised at your guilty pleasure, that show gives me a headache! I have enjoyed Millionaire Matchmaker, although I'm not a regular viewer :)
