May 24 ...

A very, very, very happy day ... to me.

Quite often, my birthday falls during Memorial day weekend. When I was younger (as in a kid) I thought it was such a bad time to have a birthday as many of my friends would often be out of town or busy during the holiday weekend. As an adult, I've really loved the time of year I was born (thanks Mom, great planning :). It follows right on the heels of Mother's day (which I love almost as much as my birthday), is a nice LONG weekend for Matt (this year he was also off on Friday, whoo-hoo ... 4 days off!) and typically we get lovely spring turning to summer weather.

** My mom was actually induced into labor with me EARLY as her doctors, at the fine military base hospital, did not want to have to worry about her going into labor over Memorial day weekend and ruining their plans. Seriously. **

Today we started the day at church, setting our hearts and minds where they should be. Then we came home for a quick lunch and naps (I love a good nap) and then headed off for our downtown fun. We started by seeing the sequel to a movie I totally love and is *pretty* family friendly (there were a few unnecessary choices of words). Then we headed next door to P.F. Changs for a delicious dinner. Afterward we took advantage of being downtown and just enjoyed the nice weather and took some fun pictures.

(Me proving that just because you're 32 doesn't mean you can't act like you're 23 and see if you can squeeze into a bike rack?!?)

(Loving on one of my two favorite guys ;) who were the best dates a girl could ask for on her birthday!)

Happy Sunday to all of you!
