May 19 ...

"A girl and a goose walk into a craft store ..."

Sounds like the start of a joke, right? Oh no, this is a real story, no joke.

A few weeks ago Matt and I popped into JoAnn's while out on our date night (seriously exciting stuff, no? Good thing I have a very patient and supportive husband). I was waiting for my number to be called at the cutting counter (LOVE that they finally thought of this) and was wandering the aisles close by. I notice a younger girl (and by younger I mean like early 20's which sadly is much younger than me) holding a small animal. Well I assume it's a "purse size" dog and keep shopping. As I make my way back to the cutting counter, I notice the girl again. She's very cute, blond and what I would consider "high maintenance" in her appearance. She's now holding her fabric to be cut and her animal is now in her trendy little black purse. I look closer ... uhm, that's no puppy or dog ... it's not even a cat (all of which would be slightly reasonable to carry into JoAnn's). No folks, it's a GOSLING. As in a baby GOOSE ... IN JOANN'S!!

Where does one get a baby goose?

And at what point does your craft project become so urgent that you must stop at JoAnn's with your gosling?

And how much does a gosling, uhm, need to go to the bathroom while sitting in your purse?

Why? Why? Why?

At least that was one JoAnn's trip where I left smiling!

Happy Tuesday!
(** Oops, I really DID post this yesterday, I just posted it on the Knitty Bitties blog instead of here ;). **)
