Ethan had a nature walk at preschool ... not the best weather day for a nature walk, but he did get to experience rain, wind, sun and then a down pour all in the hour he was on on his "field trip." Luckily they were just next door to the preschool and everyone was nice and dry by the time school was over.
E found some great treasures on his walk; Pine cones, a feather, flowers (aka weeds) and the best treasure, an un-hatched baby quail egg. Sadly it was already on the ground and I'm sure mama had abandoned it, but the kids all thought it was the best.
Before, during and after preschool I managed to:
- Package and ship an Etsy sale
- Cut 90 wedding invitations (each invite has 3 parts)
- Get dinner going in the crock pot ~ BBQ Beef
- Make rolls for dinner ... kneading, rising, punching down, rising, baking, cooling
- Go on Ethan's field trip and take pictures (I escaped before the down pour :)
- Drop books at the library
- Hand deliver an Etsy sale :)
- Chat with new neighbor
- Deliver said wedding invitations to my sister
- Stop at Starbucks
- Blog
- Sew a little more on the mystery project
Good guesses on yesterday's picture but no one has guessed either of the two items that will be made from all these strips of fabric. I think I'll have to give you another picture tomorrow and another clue ;).
Hopefully I'll be back to add a few nature walk pictures to this post, but for now I just wanted to get it posted ... I might just fall asleep after dinner ;).
Happy Thursday!

You were a busy bee for sure! I'm glad that Starbucks was on your list, sounds like you needed it!
Hmmm, my guess is maybe a table runner? Or dishtowels because that would be so adorable, but maybe you're making a scrap quilt? Anyway I don't know but I like the fabric...a lot! Thanks so much for bringing those by today I am sorry about the chaos (evidently they changed the schedule and oops! forgot to tell Summer) I got there as soon as I got their message and was immediately seated with a 35 person baseball team! The invitations are beautiful, you're amazing, I love you! Hopefully I'll get to see you soon more than just a glimpse of you in the doorway of BWW.
Send me a little of that motivation, will you? I'm feeling put out if I have to do more that one thing in "my time". LOL
I think you're going to make a wonky log cabin lap quilt. :)
