This weekend was busy ... but filled with a whole lot of happy.
Saturday Happiness:
- Girl time with my mom and sister - six hours of fun ... sharing a delicious breakfast at a little cafe, shopping, shopping and more shopping, followed by lunch at Macaroni Grill.
- The sweet deal I got on a pair of black, pointy toed boots. Another pair of black "lounge" pants (thank Mom!) and a springy t-shirt from Old Navy.
- Family fun with Matt's family. His sister sweetly invited us all over for a delicious dinner of prime rib and all the fixing, followed by cheesecake and berries!! All to celebrate Great-Grandpa Jack and a few of the other spring time birthdays. Just a really fun time to catch up, thank you Kris!
- Beautiful, beautiful weather ... Sunny and 70-something degrees!
- Sleeping in ... Ethan's cold kept us home from church ... the sleeping in was a nice treat.
- Costco and Starbucks ...
- Birthday party for one of our favorite little girls. Our sweet baby Claire's First Birthday Party. So much fun ... and Bethany did a beautiful job putting it all together. And Claire was in 7th heaven with the cake ... she just held her little hands to her face and "breathed" in all that delicious sweetness!
- Going to bed early and getting a good night sleep!
Happy Monday!

I hope Ethan is feeling better tonight!!
That picture of Claire is hilarious! I love the cake face, so cute.
Glad you had a fun & somewhat restful weekend!! I'll chat with you soon...& no, WE are not on a break - you'll never get a break from me... :)
That's a cute picture! Look at those eyes!
Sounds like you guys enjoyed the sunny weekend!
Is Ethan feeling better?
Every once in awhile I have something I want to share with others, but not often enough to create and maintain a “blog” or web site. So I thought I would just mooch off of this one. Now to the point: Is there anything more pathetic than a middle-aged man - seemingly successful, well-dressed, and intelligent – standing in Wal*Mart in front of a 42-inch LCD television with his mouth hanging open, his eyes starry with amazement & wonder like a five-year-old at Disneyland, watching a rerun of the Fiesta Bowl? The guy was standing there as if he’d never seen it, filled with anticipation as to how it might end. Finally, a passerby in the aisle said something to him that jarred him back to reality, or at least the realization that there were others on the planet. I don’t know what the passerby said, but I heard the doofus say, again with starry-eyed amazement and wonder (drooling slightly), “It never gets old.” Get A Life!
New post, new post! (Am I allowed to claim that when I'm on a break?) :)
What a SWEET photo!! Beautiful! Sending healthy vibes your way! Recover soon.
Doofus Update!
Fiesta Bowl mopes are not exclusive to Wal*Mart. They can also be found at Costco. There are a few small differences, however. At Costco they are staring at a larger, more expensive television, and when they drool there is a hint of Sinai Kosher Dog on their breath!
