Wednesday, Wednesday ...

Well clearly my new hair style drew much more interest than Ethan's new clothes ... LOL. I'm not sure what that says, but I'll just keep blogging along ;).

We had a nice morning today, playing with our dear friends Heather, Lydia & Eden. We are fortunate enough to see them monthly at MOPS, but haven't been able to get together in quite sometime, so it was fun for Heather and I to enjoy some coffee cake muffins (recipe to be posted soon ... YUM!) and watch the kiddos play.

After a quick trip to Costco for their famous hot dog lunch and picking up household necessities (i.e. nothing fun) we headed home for naps. Ethan's was much more productive than mine. Between the crazy windy weather and telephone I had four interruptions to my "nap" before I gave up. Oh well, I went to check mail and starting grinning in delight as I saw the box which I knew held the adorable bag I've been waiting for ...

She is beautiful isn't she? A perfect accessory for Easter ... and look at those fun striped peeking out from the inside. Thank you Shawn for this lovely bag. It was quite a trip getting it here ... in fact this is bag #2, as #1 is floating around USPS land (or riding on an undeserving shoulder as I type this). So a BIG THANK YOU for the extra time and expense you put into this for me ... and Shawn was so nice to include a special little treat too ... so, so sweet. Be sure to check out her Eclectic Whimsy Boutique for some more eye candy and maybe treat yourself to one of her goodies.

And since I'm on a roll with this post, how about I share a few paper scrapbook pages I've been working on. I'm of course slower than molasses when it comes to completing them, which is why I love also creating digital pages. But there is nothing like actually touching, cutting, gluing and all that fun stuff that comes with actual paper. Weird, I know ... ask me some time about my dream of working for Kinko's and this "fixation" might make more sense ;).

Both of these pages were made using my March Mosh Posh Kit (I need to get busy, April's will be here before long). "Angel Kisses" was inspired by Linda Barber who used a very similar photo on her layout and reminded me about these photos of Ethan. Matt is of course appalled at the idea of his son's hiney on public display and is sure this will do nothing short of humiliate him for years to come, so I tried to lessen the emotional scaring with a strip of carefully placed paper.

And, "Book Worm" was inspired by the wonderfully talented Sara Winnick. Her layout "Passing the Torch" in one of my recent scrapbook magazines (sorry I can't remember which one) inspired me to do a page about how much Ethan loves to read. With a quick look through my photos, I found these two which worked out perfectly.

If you read all of that, congratulations, treat yourself with an iced tea. That's what I would do! Happy Wednesday!!

Soooo glad you got the bag AND that you love it. :) Can't wait to hear if you get any comments on it while you're out and about. And I need to hire you to take photos of all my bags. :) And I'm totally impressed with the paper scrapped pages. I have SOOOO many goodies that I should send your way. They're just collecting dust over here.

Thanks so much for the incredibly sweet comment on my blog too. You've made my night! :)

Hi!! It's too late to call you so I thought I'd check in & post a comment on your blog. :) Super cute purse! Love it! I'll have to check it out completely! :)

I didn't get called down today. Got up at 3:00 am - I'm sad - but will be okay. :) I'll share details later - if I don't call you tomorrow I'll call Friday.

Love your LO's - & EE's new clothes are very cute - big fan of the flip flops.

Love you!

I am still using my original lens. We have been looking into others though. I want one with more zoom. Jeff is looking at a Cannon Sigma 28-200mm 3.5-5.6 and a Sigma 18-125mm 3.5-5.6 so we'll see what I end up with. What I really want to start looking into also are filters. I think those would be fun to play around with.

Doofus Update!

Fiesta Bowl mopes are not exclusive to Wal*Mart. They can also be found at Costco. There are a few small differences, however. At Costco they are staring at a larger, more expensive television, and when they drool there is a hint of Sinai Kosher Dog on their breath!
