A little bit of bananas and green apples ...

Just plugging along here ... fighting a cold that is more of a major annoyance than anything else. In fact, I haven't changed out of my "lounge" pants and sweatshirt all day. Ethan enjoyed far too much t.v., but we did manage to get in a few games of Diego and Guess Who. Ethan really loves games these days ... it's so funny to watch him and his "tricky" attempts at cheating ... already, how appalling ... he must get this from his Aunt Julie. We'll see who wins when they play together ;).

A bit of Bananas ..........................................................

What else ... oh yes, yesterday before illness struck, I made these WOndERfUL Banana Crumb Muffins. Again, the recipe was from allrecipes.com (5 out of 5 stars with over 1200 reviews). My only modifications were: following the recommendation to use oil vs. melted butter; adding about 1/3C chopped pecans to the crumb mixture; and filling cups about 1/3 full, adding about a teaspoon of crumb topping, then covering with more batter and then topping as instructed. Also, mine made 12 large muffins.

and Green Apples .....................................................

Also, after going through Ethan's summer clothes from last year, discovered that all of his 2T shorts fit ... so I'm going to take back the Old Navy ones and get more shirts, since he's well stocked in the shorts department. And in an attempt to find some casual/dress shoes for Easter and church, I also came across these rain boots for me. And since Ethan & Matt both have theirs for our upcoming beach/ocean trip, I thought I "needed" some too ... how cute are these?

Well, that's all for now, I'm going to attempt to get a good night's sleep and take it easy tomorrow. This is my last "free" weekend ... I've got something going the next 7 weekends. Yikes!

Happy Friday and Happy Weekending!!

(Oh and to my anonymous blogger, I'm so happy you can get your feelings out on my blog ... please feel free to stop by and vent anytime ... or get your own blog, we know it would be great and well read ... in fact, did you know if you get popular enough you can actually charge for advertising and get cash for all that wittiness!)

Just getting around to catching up on blogs.
Cute bag! I plan on stopping by her site later to look around!
I also love the little flip-flops for Ethan! He'll get used to them so fast! Garrett was unsure of his at first but then wanted to wear them everywhere.
You & your recipes! Who needs allrecipes.com? Those muffins look so good!
Super cute boots! After Carson got his fire truck boots for Christmas I kind of wanted a pair of cute rain boots but when would I use them? Why weren't they around while I was living in Oregon?
We're also super busy for the next several weekends! I hope you got some relaxing in.
Okay I think that's it!:)
