Who knew?

That Thursday could be almost as fantastic as Friday. At least in my stay at home world that is ... I love to devote one day a week to cleaning and catching up on house stuff.

Thursday seems to be the perfect day as it's at the end of our week, but doesn't cut into any Friday or weekend time. It makes for a clean house for the weekend, making me more relaxed and more likely to do something spontaneous ... like invite friends over for dinner or dessert and not fret about the house.

It's also wonderful to spend a whole day in your jammies. Really it is, have you tried it lately? I love it because it's comfortable AND it keeps me at home ;). No worries about running to the store or out to Starbucks when I'm in my pj pants! I've noticed Ethan really digs cleaning day too, as he is in his jammies until noon and gets to watch lots of cartoons ... eh, why not, we all need a down day, right?

And just so that this isn't the most boring post in the world ... LOL ... I'll share my new favorite "lounge" pants ... you know, the pants you lounge around the house in. Some may call them sweat pants, but I'll tell you I've never gotten into the whole "sweats" wardrobe. A couple reasons: I've never found a pant with elastic around the ankles remotely comfortable; There is not a sweat pant made that is flattering to any body type, thus trapping you in your house (which is only good on Thursday's :) ); Any object of clothing with the name "sweat" in it is concerning.

So, when I bought these pants at Old Navy a week or so ago, I didn't realize they would change my life ... but they have. I love them. I've practically lived in them (at home) since I got them and they are cute enough on that I could, should I be so brave, wear them in public ... something that will never happen with sweats or pajama pants. I only bought green and pink, but I'm so in love with them I may have to get more ...

And since I was all about comfort when I went shopping ... I also picked up these pants for spring/summer ... they're really still lounge pants, just dressed up enough that they fool people into thinking that you put a little effort into that days outfit ...

So, my house is cleaned, laundry is done, fresh sheets await me and I've just typed up the world's longest blog post about nothing, really ;).

Happy Thursday ... I hope yours was as good as mine!

Brent and I love putting on our jammie pants when he gets home from work every night, when we don't have anywhere to go. What he doesn't know, is that some days, I have just changed out of them a couple hours before he gets home!!!

We like the striped cotton mens ones from old navy...they are cozy and comfy, but not too hot here in CA!

I love the "non-sweat" pants. I love Old Navy's pj pants, they're always my favorites so I think I may need some of those pants too. I also like the brown pants but the short legs I have do not look remotely good in pants like those. :( Be thankful for your LONG legs! :)

Your Thursday was definately better than mine! Love the pants - I have them in hot pink & tan. Like the green, I might need them... :)

Your little gouchos are cute too (did I spell that right?). Maybe I'll borrow them to see what I think on my less than long legs. :)

And yahoo on the "lounge" pants- so cool! You are hilarious with your sweat pant theories- although I do totally agree.
