... Warm Car :).
After a morning setting our hearts right, we spent the afternoon resting (and for me, sewing while I 'watched' "13 Going on 30" :D). Then Matt made pizza ... he makes a really great pizza anyway, but is currently on a quest to perfect his thin crust dough and sauce. (Tim & Jessie, he's after the Paddington's Pizza). Can I tell you how much I love that Matt cooks. He pretty much takes over on the weekends which is a wonderful treat for me!
After a few errands, we grabbed our dessert, SB Hot Chocolates with Extra Whip and headed out to see Christmas lights. This is one of my favorite things to do in December ... something Matt and I have been doing since we were dating. This is not just a one time event for us ... rather this marked the first of many more nights checking out the lights around town, listening to Christmas music and just enjoying some 'secluded' family time.
Ethan declared the new trend in lights tuned to music to be his favorites. I have to agree, they are pretty fun. In fact tonight we found 3 different houses. One was so cute with all different "scenes" from "Charlie Brown's Christmas" set up. They had narrative and that scene would light up, then music, then more narrative ... it went through the whole movie. Very cute :).
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was wonderful, despite working many hours on the last of my custom orders. The good news? I have about an hour left on it (sewing buttons and adding fabric to pens) and I'm done. I'm already doing the happy dance and so excited to get started on my handmade holiday gifts. Whoo-hoo. Only about 6 days later than I planned, but this was too good of an order to pass up.
And tomorrow starts the first of holiday events for me with our Ladies Christmas Party, Dessert & Ornament Exchange. And guess what? I'm making my ornament ;).

Very fun weekend!! Mmmm pizza - Paddington's is pretty great. :) I love that you guys go looking at Christmas lights - I would like to do that more. And SB hot chocolate - sounds like a perfect end to a great weekend!!

Oh what fun! Sounds like the perfect weekend. Jason and I love packing up the girls and hot cocoa to go look at lights. We also love walking around at night, especially if it snowing and looking at the lights and decorations on the houses.
My SIL said she order a bunch of list takers from you. She excited about them.
