How about ...

... a little catch up :D.

12-16-09
Not much to mention about Wednesday ... it's always a long day with school and Awana taking up our afternoon and evening.

12-17-09
Ethan's School "Winter" Music Program. This was my normal volunteer day, so I got to help in the classroom (helping with their Christmas gift for their parents) and got a front row view of the program. It was really fun to watch ... but gosh was it ever crazy in that gym. There has got to be a better way to do that! Anyway, I think that it is moments and days like these that I'm really glad Ethan is going to school and not here with me every day :D.

This is him in his new "Christmas sweater" from Grandma. I knew getting a picture in the gym would be a trick, so I snapped this one before we left for school. I did capture the songs on video, but they are too big too upload.

Julie (my SIL) came over for the afternoon to help me go through my ever growing fabric stash and organize it. In the process I threw away a TON of scraps (this felt SO wasteful, but really needed to be done). She folded fabric while I cleaned out cubbies to make more room for the fabric.

The view from the door ... it felt SO good to have a clean space to work in. It's my happy place for sure!

I think when I first moved into this room 2 cubbies fit the fabric nicely. Well now they have 6 cubbies giving me a little room to grow. They are organized by: Polka Dots & Home Decor Fabric/Tote Material & Quilt Material/Collections/Baby & Kids Material/Solids & Corduroy AND Misc & Charm Packs.

To make the clean room even sweeter, Matt brought me home an early anniversary present, 2 dozen hot pink roses which look (and smell) oh so nice!

We had NO plans for this day and I was oh so happy about that. I stayed in my jammies until dinner time when I finally got dressed so we could go look at lights and get some hot chocolate.

I spent almost all day in my sewing room making some monkeys for some of my favorite little people ...

(Ignore the grungy ironing board they are sitting on.)
They still need their faces, but the girls now have skirts and little mary jane's and the boy has a pirate hat, eye patch and sword :).

Aren't they cute?!?

We finished up our at home day with a night driving around looking at lights and sipping hot chocolate.

More catch up to come ...
