This is the third year of our "Christmas Books" basket, so I think I can now call it a tradition. Each day in December, leading up to Christmas, Ethan takes down that day from our felt advent garland AND opens up the book with that days date.
A few years back I also started the tradition of starting off the month of December with some small gift for Ethan to enjoy for the season.
This year, "book" #1 was a new Christmas DVD, Veggie Tales: Saint Nicholas: A tale of joyful giving.
I think we'll curl up and watch it tomorrow with a cup of hot chocolate & marshmallows.

I like the book idea. May have to do that one year. That new Christmas DVD looks cute, you'll have to let us know how you like it.
