All the snow made me so happy that we're four days into March. I don't ever remember being excited about March, more about spring, but as I got home today and started to think through the coming weeks, there are quite a few things to look forward to this month:
- Several birthdays, including my mom and baby Claire :).
- Signs of spring, Ethan is loving checking on the sprouting daffodils we planted in the fall.
- The warmer days as we get closer and closer to spring.
- Spring Break which for us means a week of no routine celebrated with Tim & Jess being here.
- Rounding out the month with a trip to Portland, OR (and flying back with Tim & Jess) with my mom and sis for a "girls weekend" celebrating my sister's recent birthday.
And the fresh ... well did you really think I could do a post after this many days and not share any sewing? I didn't think so ... this is another custom order (these have been fun personal challenges to create something unique) for a diaper bag. It's also my first diaper bag which means I had to work through some new things. I used a basic pattern and then modified it ... I'm about 90% happy with the way it turned out and for me, that is pretty good for a first try :). I LOVE the fabric and *if* the recipient doesn't love it, I want it back so I can have it for my everyday purse!

And a few more thoughts on fresh ...
And a few more thoughts on fresh ...
- I have taken hardly any "people" pictures this year. My hard drive is filled with sewing projects and while I do love seeing all that I've done, I don't want to miss out on those I love ... so I need a fresh perspective this month and want to take more pictures of people and life :).
- A fresh focus on exercise ... with the warming temps and longer "days" I've been getting the itch to run again. I'd love to be ready to run the Susan Komen Race for the Cure (5K) on Mother's Day Weekend.
- Fresh ideas ... lots of "creating" I want to do, I need to balance my time so that I'm able to do and dabble a bit each day.
- Oh and just realizing ... a fresh new header for my blog!

SOOOO cute! If she doesn't want it -I'll take it. Ha, ha - she's going to flip when she sees it. You're not getting it back... :)
Glad you're back - I'll call you soon!!!
Too bad I'm done having babies ;o) but I do think every mother should carry around something this cute!
ok.....I HAVE to have that. can I make a super custom order, though? I love that fabric, but maybe the interior with a more red fabric instead of pink? and maybe with handles a tad longer so that I can get it over my chubby arms and shoulder? Seriously, if you can make it happen, I will buy one from you! I love it!!!
That bag is too cute! Again, great work!
