So, I really wanted to post a little "birthday" celebration post, but guess who forgot her camera on Saturday? Yep, so I have NO pictures to share ... a bit sad about this, so instead I'll share a few highlights so I don't remember these in years to come (oh yes, I'm sure I'll be re-reading my blog ten years from now, seriously ... how fun will that be!?! And I am being serious here ... that I do think it will be fun :).
Birthday Lunch/Shopping with Mom - Celebrating my Mom's birthday (14th) my sister and I treated her to lunch at an oh so sweet little cafe that was totally girly and fun. We all had the delicious, open faced ham & swiss w/ avocado melt on focaccia, YUM! And we all had dessert ... gelatto, bread pudding and chocolate! Afterward we popped into the shop next door that was a combination of fabric and yarn ... oh my! So, so, so fun to walk through and touch the yarn and drool over the fabric. I walked away with 3 yards to make my sister's birthday apron (and enough for another one ... which you might just have a coronary when you see how fun it is!). We then made the mistake of going to the local mall which was too busy and not worth the fight, but we did have a wonderful time together. Mom I hope you loved your afternoon, we sure love you and I'm so happy we live so close to celebrate the big days and the little ones too!
Claire's 2nd Birthday ... so sweet that little one ... I'm sure this will be well documented on Bethany's blog, but it was a joy to celebrate this special day. I was there at the hospital just hours after she was born and we've been blessed to watch her grow!
Today, well Ethan woke up with a cold and I woke up still feeling exhausted after 8+ hours of sleep, so we had a short morning at church and headed home after Sunday School. After lunch Ethan and I took naps and then I got up with just enough time to clean up a bit before my stylist came over (yes, like a celebrity (or maybe not?) my stylist comes to my house ... HA, I love it!). I have been sick of my long hair ending up in a ponytail and clip day after day after day ... so boring and blah! So I cut about 7 inches off and went dark again. I LOVE it ... and while these pictures are not great, I think you can get the idea of it. An A-line cut with a bit of layering and the side swept bangs (which I'm growing out). Ethan and Matt also got cuts ... Ethan lost the surfer/skater locks and now has his sweet clean cut look, which I'll have to take pictures of this week.
Oh and the other highlight of today ... dinosaur PB&J sandwiches ... more explanation tomorrow along with a few more totes I finished over the weekend.
And one more thing ... I have jury duty this week ... but thankfully not tomorrow, and hopefully not the next, or the next, or the next, or the next :). I've got things to do, totes to sew and people to see!
Happy Sunday!!

Cute hair! I'm growing out my bangs too, or at least I am until I get my haircut again. You never know what my stylist might do!
Can't wait to see the new totes.
Sending wishes of no jury duty your way!
You didn't tell me you were cutting your hair! Doesn't it just feel SO good to chop it off! I especially love the first shower when you go to wash what isn't there ;)
And the sandwiches turned out so cute!
Cute hair! I cut mine to about the same length this weekend too. A ponytail everyday is always my clue that it is time for a cut!
Here's hoping for no jury duty this week!
I think everyone's going short these days! Maybe it's spring fever. Your's is super cute too! Is that a bit of wave I see?
I'm glad you guys enjoyed your mom's birthday lunch.
Colds and jury duty in one week? That would just be super unfair!
I absolutely loved my birthday time with you and Summer. and I like the hair - can't wait to see it on Saturday. I love you!
Do you have jury duty tomorrow? Can't wait to see the new hair in person!!! :)
