... with a smile :).
I got an order for a tote this afternoon and whaa-laa ... my favorite tote so far! I'm calling it the "Everyday Hobo Tote."

(Measurements: Top width 14in/ Bottom width13in/
Height 10in/ Depth 4in/ 9.5in drop on handles/
4 pockets and magnetic closure)

All new fabrics I picked up on Tuesday not knowing what I "needed" them for, but not able to resist them. I really love the quilted interior!
Everything came together quite nicely on this one, I'm almost sad to "give" it away. Luckily I cut out two and will be listing the other (slightly different with a paisley on top) one in the shop tomorrow or Saturday. Feel free to e-mail me at knittybitties@gmail.com if you're interested in pre-buying it :).
Now, as to not have a post all about my sewing (AGAIN) I did want to share a little more about service ... with a smile. Do you realize how many people you come in contact with in a day? Okay, so not counting the days you are stuck in the house, although even then you might run into a neighbor, mailman, door-to-door salesperson. In any given day my path crosses that of many, many people ... and I have the wonderful choice to "breath life" into that person in the way I look at them (a smile, eye contact); the way I approach them (without arms crossed, not impatient or annoyed) and most importantly the way I speak to them (with personal acknowledgment, genuine interest and thankfulness). I've tried to make the conscious decision and daily choice to greet those around me with a smile and if given the opportunity breath a little life into them with my actions and words. I can't imagine a more difficult job than those of service people who have to deal with "all kinds" each day. I want to be one that leaves an impression, that makes them smile and know that they are appreciated. And yes, I even try to do this with those that don't always greet me, or are clearly inconvenienced by me ... because they are people and my smile and kind words can't hurt can they?
Happy Thursday (again)! :)

Yet another cute bag!
I agree totally with what you said about our attitude with people we encounter everday. A simple smile can change someone's whole day. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
