Oh my, oh my ...

... the savings I've saved today ... and it's only 1:23 (HA, 1-2-3, okay it was amusing to me).

Matt had the day off as I mentioned last night and is a sweet man to accompany me on my errands. He knows how much I like having company, and really, what is better than a personal cheauffer who drops me at the door and picks me up :). Heck, he even shopped with me a little today which speaks volumes when "my errands" consisted of Michael's (craft store), Home Fabrics & JoAnn's.

So, I *needed* to run to Michael's to pick up something to make Easter treats for next week and wanted to use my 40% off coupon. So I saved a little over $3 ... okay, not that impressive, but wait.

Then I really did need interfacing from JoAnn's for pending Knitty Bitties orders. Again, I used a 40% off coupon and this time saved over $4 ... getting better.

The BIGGEST savings was when I happened to walk past Home Fabrics as I was meeting the boys at Best Buy. I never made it to Best Buy ... instead I gathered up 20 yds of decorator weight fabric (and a nice 54" wide) for less than $20. Whoo-hoo ... the savings was almost $80!!

And I need your opinion, well maybe I'll regret asking, but I am anyway ... what do you think of this fabric combination? I really like it and I think it's reflective of this springs fashion trends which has A LOT of this bright springy green (with navy). What do you think? Be honest, it won't hurt my feelings (well unless everyone thinks it's awful, then I might cry and not put it in the shop ... but it won't stop me from keeping it for myself :). I think it would go very well with my coat ... don't you?

Okay, with that Happy Friday and most importantly ... Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma! We love you and I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow (so be watching for a birthday post this weekend).

I love it! And I think you're right, it really fits the green trend right now. I was on Old Navy's website the other day... that bag would totally fit in. Great buy on the fabric too... I'll have to check Home Fabrics one of these days.

Home Fabrics is one of those stores I only go into when I have lots of time to browse. Sounds like I may need a trip over there soon. :)
I've been picking up quite a few green things for all 5 of us lately. I thought I was just getting sick of so much blue but I guess I was suckered into a trend huh?
My roommate in college used to have a little saying when the time was sequential like that. I can't remember what it was though. I'll have to ask her.
Enjoy your lunch tomorrow! I'm looking forward to your review.

Good job on your savings! I too scored today...needing a last minute plan B for party favors, I scored 30 organza bags for $8 on clearance at Target...plus some clearance MM scrappy stuff for great deals.

Oh and the color combo in the fabrics is great. I love it. Saw a lot of these colors at CHA too. In fact, you might want to check out the sneak of the April SC kit for similar color palette!
