Aloha ...

... after more than 10 hours to arrive ... three take-off's ... three landings ... two trips to Starbucks ...
We are here ... and I'm *pretty* sure all the stress and worry was worth it ...

This was a quick shot out the window on the way to the hotel ... do you see the rainbow?

And here is our view from dinner ... open air eating at the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahina. We were starving after our fabulous (totally snickering) service on Northwest Airlines. Seriously, we're on a plane for SIX hours and we get nothing to eat ... nada, not even a peanut. Thankfully we knew to expect this and had brought snacks ... but come on already. The highlight of our plane ride? The on-air movie, License to Wed ... very funny distraction from the oh so long flight.

After dinner, we checked into our hotel, the Sheraton which is perfectly lovely. A great room, ocean view, walk to the beach ... just incredible really. Here we are on the beach just before sunset in front of black rock. They do a nightly torch lighting/diving ceremony which was fun to catch while we dipped our toes in the warm water ...

Yes, that smile on my face is hard to wipe off ...

Thank you for all of you who "prayed" us over here ... everything went well and I've been pretty calm. It doesn't hurt that I know Ethan is so enjoying his time with Aunt Julie & Uncle Mike. He got a bath tonight with Transformer bubbles ... can you beat that?!? I'll probably try to blog a bit each day for a little of a record for me. So bear with me if they get to be lengthy and boring .... you can just look at the pictures ;).

Alright, with our house being watched by the best house & kitty sitter a person could ask for, our son being cared for by two people that love him *almost* as much as us and lastly, us watching tv on a big flat screen LCD from the king size bed with the ocean air blowing in the room ... well light is just about as good as it gets.

Happy Tuesday to you!! Mahalo for reading!
