Date Night ...

So in order to catch up ... and because I can get VERY wordy ... here's a re-cap of Saturday.

  • Nampa Farmer's Market with the boys = very cold, but yummy salsa now in our fridge.
  • Usual Saturday Starbucks on the way home. Starbucks trip #1.
  • Mom picks me up, we meet Summer at Starbucks. Starbucks trip #2.
  • Off to pedicures ... my toes are now sporing OPI's "You Rock-acpulco Red" (I might need this one Jessie :D)
This deserves a 'wordy' description. I decided a few weeks ago that after I ran my 10K race I was going to treat myself to a pedicure. So I scheduled it for one week after the race, which happened to be 2 days before my birthday. Mom ended up treating me ... good thing I waited a week ;). My 'pedicure girl' ended up drawing the short stick when she sat down to work on my feet. Apparently running = gnarly feet. My mom and sister were painted and drying while I was still being sloughed, scoured and filed. :D

  • Mom took E home for a night with her and Grandpa.
  • Matt & I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant.
  • Then to Costco for TP ... this date night is heating up ...
  • Redbox instead of the movie theater ... the rain made me want to snuggle up on the couch and work some more on my quilt binding.
  • Starbucks trip #3 ... for dessert of course.
  • Shoe shopping at the mall ... one of my birthday presents from Matt. I got these cuties in pink.
  • Home for movie, quilting and snuggling.
And I have ZERO pictures to show for it ... the pouring rain was not inspiring me to lug around the camera.

So instead, I'll offer this tidbit I heard this week ...

The ability to choose a good man and to treat kindly = the perfect marriage.

Well I choose a great man who I strive to treat kindly and while we may not have a perfect marriage we're working at getting as close as we humanly can.

Date night helps ... a lot.

Happy Saturday (on Friday :D)!

I love "You Rock-a-pulco" red! In fact, I happened to receive a bottle from our polish-happy friend for Valentine's Day one year. If I didn't already have "Met on the Internet" gracing my toes, I'd put it on right now!

Happy Date Night to you!

I just love the names of OPI polish. I'm wearing 'ate berries in the canary' ... so, who is your opi connection, Jessie?
Sounds like a perfect weekend and any date that includes a shopping trip is love ... at least it is for a girl who's married to someone that works in a 'store' and hates to go on his day off but will - true love.

Sounds like the perfect day. Love the shoes. Hmmm, not sure I've seen you rock a pulco red...might need to check it out. I'm wearing my standby Little Red Wagon.
