I think I like Mother's Day almost as much (maybe more) as my birthday. You know why? Selfishly because it's still all about me, just like my birthday ... but un-selfishly because I think my role of being a mother has made me a better me. It is the greatest, most important, completely fulfilling job I've ever taken on.
So thanks to this guy who made me a mama. I love him more everyday. He fills my days with smiles and frowns, laughter and tears, happiness and sheer frustration. We're two peas in a pod ... which makes for some really great times and some really not great times.

So onto my day ...

Today was a great day because it was spent with the two people I love the most. After spending the morning at church we headed to Smashburger for lunch (yes, my request) where I enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger topped with potato chips, smash fries, a coke AND a huckleberry shake. See why I have to run for dessert?!?
We came home and opened presents and cards (Ethan made me TEN different cards :D). Several of them said, "My Mom is osm." Love it!

Then I took a big fat Sunday nap ... to the likes of two hours!! I finally feel like I'm coming out of last weeks knock down cold.
And then ... onto being a mom :). I checked several things off my to-do list: started laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, cleaned Orangey's fish tank, gave the boys hair cuts and now blogging.
{New shoes on footsies I treated to a home-pedi last night ... freshly painted toes in OPI's Cajun Shrimp. A perfect match to the skirt and shoes ... seriously, this outfit was destined to come together ;). }
Wishing all the wonderful mothers in my life a very blessed day (especially my mom and my mother-in-love), knowing they are loved and appreciated and making the biggest difference for our world.

Love the mother's day outfit! I gotta GC burning a hole in pocket to go buy some new summer clothes. And another GC to go get a cute mani and pedi done!
