My legs ...


... (and these shoes) have logged 67 miles in the last 2 months.

I started "wunning" (walk/run/walk/run) April 14th ... after FIVE months of a "break." You might remember last spring/summer, Bethany and I started the "Couch-to-5K" running plan and both ran (the entire race) the Women's Celebration 5K in September. And then you might recall I went to Maui and well I got home, it got cold and I quit. And then I lost quite a few pounds without trying (which is never good incentive to go workout) and well this spring they started coming back (the pounds) and this is incentive to get moving. And really I missed the running.

So, I'm happy to say I'm very close to reaching my goal of 100 miles.
Too bad it took me 8 months to do it, LOL, but really I know it's almost all been the last 2 months. I'm pretty sure I'll be rewarding myself with new shoes in July.

My neighbor and I are currently "training" for longer races (i.e. 1oK and a half-marathon) ... she's much more hard core and disciplined, I'm just liking the accountability and getting out there for some LONG wuns. I'm hoping to turn them into mostly runs (less walking) pretty soon.

You're crazy. Good for you - I'm jealous of your ambition...maybe you should come visit this weekend & 'wun' with me... ;)

Good for you, keep up the good work. If you're interested there is a Y not Tri, triathlon in Aug!!!!!
