Lazy days of summer ...

... I think not. At least not around here. In fact this week starts a busy 5 weeks of something almost every day (and most days are double booked). Not that I'm complaining, it's all good and fun but doesn't always leave time for things like blogging. So I'm just letting you know that while I'll still be posting, it sure won't be every day ...

So this week we sent Ethan off to camp for 4 days. I figure he's four, that's a good age to go to camp, right? ;). Good thing it's just 3 hours each morning at his preschool ... its theme is "Glorious Gardening." He wasn't too sure about being left Monday morning, the kids weren't the same and his preschool teacher wasn't one of the summer camp teachers, so while he felt comfortable at preschool, everything else was unfamiliar (I wonder where he gets this from?!?!). A little extra love from one of the teachers and all seems well.

While E's been at camp I've been at home sewing away. Yesterday I managed to get a few orders cut and today I got one sewn and then snuck in a bit of time to sew a shirt for me. You'll have to pop over to the Knitty Bitties blog to see it ;).

Tomorrow I'm going to use the time to grocery shop and maybe get in a little sewing before we head to a play date at the park.

The weather has actually felt like summer this week and we've been bbq'ing, eating lunches outside, enjoying ice cream dessert outside and playing with the water table a lot. I ordered Ethan a sand table and it should be here by the end of the week ... giving us even more reason to be outside!

I hope you're week is going as well as ours ... a few celebrations ...

Welcome home to my soon to be brother-in-law Marshall who is finally back home from deployment in Kuwait.

Happy Birthday to my nephew, Travis (a few days early!)

One last thing I've been meaning to share is my new necklace. My incredibly thoughtful friend, and niece-in-law, gave me this for my birthday. I took the picture in the mirror, so the saying is reverse, but it reads, "The joy of the Lord is my strength." I love how it looks and the declaration of the daily reminder I have clung to as I've traveled this season of hardship. Thank you Jessica! I love it and you!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm a little jealous, I wouldn't mind a few hours alone each day!
I really like the necklace! I'm not much of a jewelry kind of girl, but I'd wear that!
