... to a four year old boy, than a US Army Apache helicopter landing at your school?!?!
I don't think so ...
In fact, it was pretty cool to this thirty year old!
We made a special morning trip to preschool to watch the helicopter land (flown by Ethan's classmate, and "best friend at preschool," Garrett's dad). There were a ton of kids there so we stepped out and ran a few errands (including the library to get a US Army Helicopter book ... thankfully they had one) and eat lunch before heading back to school.
We arrived back at school a little early in hopes that the crowd would have cleared out. Lucky for us it had and Ethan got to enjoy a little time in the cock pit. I think his face says it all :). He's been pretty adamant lately about being a "jet fighter pilot" but he's been wavering today, thinking that an "Army helicopter pilot" would be pretty neat too.
Ethan (and Puppy) & GarrettWatching the helicopter land and take off gave me goose bumps ... I'm so thankful to live in this great land of freedom but even more thankful and grateful to those that our fighting for not only our freedom, but freedom around the world.
Happy Tuesday!

That is very cool. I'm glad to see he was appropriately dressed in a camo sweatshirt. :)
What an awesome day for Ethan - and for you to watch all those wonderful expressions move across his face. I was so tempted to play hooky today and come out !
marshall will die when i send him these pictures, he thinks ethan is the greatest and i'm sure seeing him in a helicopter will make his day! love you...psst I'm pretty sure i'm not too old for a stuffed monkey :)
Too funny, I was reading your sisters comment thinking, I didn't comment on this yet. I figured it out rather quickly since I do not know any marshall's.
Anyway, that is sooo cool! I'm sure it was an awesome experience for both of you.
Hawkin got to see lots of that when we worked with the military in Germany. He was even able to sit in a chopper too, unfortunately it was restricted access so we couldn't take any pictures :(
Is it every boys dream to be a fighter pilot?
Glad you had fun and enjoyed that opportunity.
I'm a little jealous, it looks like he LOVED it. What a funny boy!
I found you from Susan W's blog..I will be adding you to my "Must Read" blogs now! Your boy is so precious. Come visit my blog sometime. I work at a helicopter company as an acct and it is exciting. I also am in awe of your sewing abilites. :)
