It's kinda late and whatever I had planned to blog about has all but left my brain ... it's been a good day and we had a great weekend, but I really don't have the creative energy to share without is just sounding like a boring, never ending symposium on the last three days in our household.
So instead, I want to know what you eat for breakfast? ...
I really do *love* getting to know people and what better way than by what you eat. And any of you who know my IRL (in real life) know I'm all about food ;).
My mornings used to consist of a few pieces of toast and more often than not, a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. Followed by a BIG Iced Tea and well let's just say that a few hours later my blood sugar was anything but happy. So, I've started to be more conscious of combing carbs and proteins and trying to eat a bigger breakfast so I don't snack all morning. Plus, I don't know if you're like me, but low blood sugar = very cranky, no patience mommy. SO, my new breakfast is a fried egg and cheese bagel. And it totally works at keeping my blood sugar steady and I don't snack before lunch time (well usually ;) ). The problem is that isn't the healthiest breakfast, so as of tomorrow I'm trying Egg Beaters instead of the egg and I've switched to a whole grain bagel packed with protein and whole grains.
See what I mean? I just went on and on about breakfast ... please share yours so I don't feel like a total blubbering idiot on this Monday night.
Happy Monday!
(Oh and if you need a little eye candy ... since I was remiss in sharing a picture of my breakfast ... check out Foto Mixed.)

My everyday...well almost everyday breakfast is one egg and one egg white. You get the nutrients of 2 eggs but the fat of one. I usually keeps me full until lunch!
I like a slim fast shake blended with ice or oatmeal (it's a real heart healthy breakfast) but I generally have a little snack before lunch I think that's ok. It's the snacking at night that's not so good and of course the type of snack you choose.
anyway looking forward to seeing you moving day is...Sept 7th depending on whether or not David does a bike ride for MS with his friend. Also it's the day after my 30th. Hard to believe I'll spend my 30's in idaho! Talk about rambling sorry.
I don't blend the shake with oatmeal it's either or, I eat one or the other. just to clarify
Well...this summer I don't like breakfast. So when I don't ignore it, I've been having a bowl of cereal. Life is my favorite & I've been enjoying that this week (real life & the cereal Life). :)
During school I usually eat a banana & a granola bar. Delish, I know.
We grew up on those egg & cheese sandwiches. But we eat them on toast instead of a bagel. Mmm, that sounds good.
I have a huge variety of favorite breakfasts. I LOVE LOVE LOVE cereal but I will eat it at anytime so it's not necessarily always a breakfast food here. I love having a piece of peanut butter toast, a banana and a cup of milk. So good. But I also try to make the kids a big breakfast a few times a week so sometimes I'll give in and have pancakes or waffles. (I think we're having waffles this morning. With peanut butter of course.) We love to make smoothies too so I have those a lot. See? Quite a variety. I love breakfast. Maybe our next girls get-together should be Cracker Barrel for breakfast. :)
My breakfast is usually a bowl of cereal. Raisin Bran Crunch or Strawberry Shredded Wheats and a galss of milk. My big problem is lunch. I am not very good at eating a well balanced lunch or eating lunch at all most days. I am not a big snacker thank goodness, I will just overload on dinner which isn't good :)
Lately it's been egg substitute (I like the Wilcox brand, it's all natural), about 2 eggs worth with salsa. I know it sounds a little weird, but it's like a breakfast burrito without the tortilla and it's only about 75 calories. Then I add in a piece of fruit and some tea. I can't eat much more than that since I usually run right after that. Then I'll have a bit of yogurt later in the morning.
I mostly eat a slim fast bar. Some mornings I am on my game and have scrambled eggs in a tortilla or oatmeal. I do like ceral though. I was very impressed with the variety at your house. It made my tummy happy!
