Ethan seems to be full of it lately, giving us something to really laugh about ... daily if not hourly.
About two weeks ago, I went walking with my neighbor right after E went to bed. Matt was downstairs playing on the XBox. We have a fan running for "white noise" upstairs so it's often hard to hear just what is going on. Well, after several suspicious sounds, Matt quietly came up the stairs only to see the bathroom light on. Ethan must have heard him because he stopped dead in his tracks and watched for Matt to finish coming up. After being asked why he was up, he sheepishly looked at Matt, walked over to the shower/tub, pulled back the curtain and said,
"Look what I drew Daddy!"

Clearly he was pleased with himself and must have thought that his work of art would distract Matt from the fact that he had been out of bed drawing in the bathroom for 20 minutes!! Nice try Picasso ... he was told that while his drawing was wonderful, his choices were not. I couldn't help but photograph that memory!!
Another funny saying as of late is ... "hook me up" ... which Ethan learned from Matt. Examples of usage:
"Mom, can you hook me up with a snack"
"Dad, do you think you can hook me up with Farmer's Market?"
"Dad, can you hook me up with some Poky Sticks?"
Pretty funny stuff ... it's a fun age ... trying to figure out all our weird adult sayings and trying to use them appropriately. I'm sure I'm forgetting others, so I'll think hard and share more tomorrow or Sunday.
Happy Friday and LONG Weekend to you!!
(Oh and to all my blogging friends, please excuse my very poor attempt at commenting as of late. I've been slacking ... just reading, not posting. I still love you though and reading your blogs too ... next week my goal is to make up for not commenting!)

That Ethan... what a riot. I think Claire is convinced the world revolves around him (even if he pushes her off the potty chair). She loved having him around yesterday and loves just holding on to his hat (yep, he left it here). Thanks for sharing him with all of us!
No need to apologize for blog slacking. I am right there with you. At least you are still reading, I have fallen back on that as of late too. Anyway...
Love those Ethan stories. Hoping those were bath crayons he drew with?!? The "hook me up" stories cracked me up. How funny is that! What a cute little boy you have.
Happy weekend to you too!
He asked me to 'hook him up' with the worm game...I'm pretty sure he will be getting one now. How could I not? :)
Love the art work - he's hilarious.
that, my friend, is why we still have a monitor! I don't trust Judah as far as I can throw him!
too funny!
the hook me up thing is hysterical!
I hope you plan on scrapping some of these Ethanisms!
