Well I think I must have some country blood running through my veins because it's not uncommon for me to dream of living on a farm or in the middle of nowhere (equipped with high speed Internet of course) and smiling at the thought. Now don't get me wrong I'm a city girl through and through and I probably wouldn't survive a week on a farm, even with all of today's modern conveniences, but it doesn't stop a girl from dreaming about it. I suppose it's no surprise then that Matt has a love of framing too. He has told me often that he wouldn't have minded growing up on a farm and taking it over ... and he's serious ... and if either of us had just a wee bit more knowledge or experience, we might just get ourselves a farm. In the meantime, I satisfy my desires by reading this blog and experiencing country life whenever I can ... and is there anything more country than a rodeo (or ROW-DEE-O as Ethan would say) ?!?! I LOVE them ... Friday's was no different.
This could be me right?

Ethan's favorite part of the rodeo? The cowboys ... like this one ... can you blame him?

Matt got lucky with this shot ... the sun was just so, lighting up the calf ... not too bad for our new little point and shoot.
Well I sure hope that whatever it is you've wished you could be ... that you get "tastes" of it every now and then that bring you joy!
Happy Tuesday!

Oh, I agree. Life on our little "mini" farm was fun, but to be a little more "out in the middle of nowhere" would have been fun :)
REALLY!?!? I never knew that about you. My parents living on 5 acres was enough of a farm for me - back to the city lights & sidewalks I went. :) Glad you enjoyed the rodeo - didn't know you went to that either. Man...I eat cheeseburgers & you want to have a farm. Who are WE!?! :)
andrea-
wow! i never knew that about you. fun post. did you know i grew up riding horses and we had a mini farm (if 1 cow, a couple pigs, and a chicken coup counts). I would always race my horse around the arena and wave like in that picture but somehow I out grew the horse thing and now David and I just dream of having horses again someday!
