Just, I'm lightening the mood around here ... with talk of coupons.
So, today was our Monday grocery shopping/errand running morning and I ROCKED with coupons ... I'll tell you my total savings in just a moment (I have to keep you in suspense about something or you wouldn't finish reading this nonsense).
I'm not sure what it is about using coupons that makes me so happy ... but I think that even if I had enough money I didn't have to budget at all, I'd still clip and use them. There's just something so gratifying to me about getting something for less. This translates into pretty much any type of shopping I do ...
Am I alone in this nutty joy? Does anyone else love clipping (and actually using) coupons? If you're reading and you do, let me know I'm not alone in this ;).
One last thought on coupons ... they're not all equal ya know? I try not to clip coupons for things I would normally NEVER buy. I try to stick with the things I do buy and ocassionaly use a coupon to try a new product. Otherwise, you're just suckered into buying something you normally never would have and hence really not saving anything.
Today's total savings = $14.50!!!!!!
Takes away all the guilt for the SB Iced Tea I treated myself too.

I love coupons too but have never saved that much! Way to go! I am with you though, I only cut coupons for things I buy on a regular basis.
TOTALLY satisfying. And I clip selectively, as you do. Because I buy a ton of generic stuff... but there are some things where the generic version just doesn't cut it... so a coupon is a must. I have actually driven back to the store when I forgot my coupons to get a refund like yours!! Just because I went to all the trouble of clipping and then holding on to the dang coupon!! It's sooooo worth it! Ha ha ha... laughing at our giddiness!
I need to get an A lesson!! I am not a clipper but I really should be! I think I am not organized enough in my grocery shopping- I just run in and grab and go. Hmmm....maybe for July, I will be a better shopper!
I love coupons or any money saving thing really. I love to come home from shopping and show Mike how much I DIDN'T spend on something. I'm glad I get a kick out of that instead of a rush from spending! :)

I love them too. I won't buy something different but if I find a coupon on something I use all the time, I thnk I am getting away with something. Like the Costco coupons but sometimes forget to use them them within the time frame. Have to buy Prileosec at Walmart today because I missed the Costco sale - Darn It, LOL...zalaine

Well, I didn't do so well...saved about 3.50, but spent $152.00!!! Better than nothing!
