And while I drafted this post forever ago ... I still thought it was worth sharing. After all this is one of my Christmas traditions.
See that basket next to my side table? It's new. Well as of December it's new. It's from the infamous Wal*Mart trip I made after many, many, many blessed months of NOT stepping in that place. But, eh, I figured I was there for glitter ornaments and I might as well look around a little. And then I remembered I needed something to corral the magazines and books that had overflowed from my side table and onto the floor next to it.
Don't they look so much nicer (hhhmmm, you're thinging ... well maybe, but you didn't show us the before. Okay, you're right, just trust me)? Yes, yes they do. And it goes with my 'master bedroom' makeover that is SLllllloOOoooolLLlllyyYYY happening (more on that later).
Back to the books ...
The Promise by Richard Paul Evans
- Evans never fails to put out a good holiday read. This one ... while a highly unbelievable story line (and something I would normally disregard) ... was great. A quick read (as they all are) filled with love.
The Christmas Blessing by Donna VanLiere
- This is #2 of "The Christmas Shoes" series and I couldn't believe I hadn't read it yet. Another heartwarming extension of first in this series.
Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber
- Again, a slightly unbelievable story line, but for some reason these little Christmas reads can get away with it. Lay on the over the top - cheesey love stories ... I'm a sucker.
And now ... all pleasure reading (aside from a quick article before bed) has been put aside again.
Happy Tuesday!

I happened to go to the library at the beginning of December and saw the big display of Christmas books. I snagged quite a few. It was fun! And of course I thought of you! :)
(what happened to your runner girl?)
