Shhh ... do you hear that?

... all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

It's quiet here ... and Ethan's not sleeping ... he's at preschool (which means he's feeling better, yea) and I'm enjoying my last hour of solitude. I just ordered up the pictures for last years Christmas Album. Yes, I'm an entire year behind. You remember I finished my 2005 Christmas Album right in time for Christmas 2006, so I feel like I'm settling into a good pattern ;). I have the album bought for the 2007 album and I'm starting to gather things, but I've been that organized in years past too, it just doesn't get finished until a year later. So I'm giving myself permission to take my time and just enjoy the process ;).

In other news, I was inspired by a blog to switch over to some Christmas reading. I picked up two "hold requests" from the library yesterday, The Christmas Shoes (which I read and bawled through last night in bed ... this is my second time reading it, if you haven't please go get it ... it'll move you) and On Strike for Christmas, which so far is proving to be a much more light hearted easy read.

And while I haven't baked any Christmas cookies this week, I did make Peanut Butter Blossoms on Friday night for Kelly's birthday and have been enjoying a few too many myself. I think that Ethan and I will make Candy Cane Cookies sometime this week, they're so easy to make and so, so good. Mmmmm.

I have a few sewing projects to get stated on, first our new stockings ... so hopefully I'll have some pictures to share later this week ... I need to break out the camera so I can capture each of December visually too!

Happy Tuesday!!

Wow, I just read an excerpt from the book, The Christmas Shoes and it was good. Now I just need to go and pay off my library fines so I can check it out. I have a bad habbit about returning things on time. ;o)

I think Saturday is going to be our Chritmas cookie making day. I have so many I want to make but need to narrow the list down to a doable amount.

ooo...I think we will be making those Candy Cane Cookies this year. How fun! I didn't realize you did a Christmas journal. What a great thing to be able to look back on. I can't wait to do mine.
