And Christmas ...

... yes, it looks like the reindeer led the way for Santa to stop at our house :).

Opening stockings. I love stockings ... E's was filled with treats and small toys while mine was filled with loose leaf tea and a steeping cup. Matt, always hard to shop for ... had to settle for dark chocolate bars.

Santa went big this year and delivered a very large castle Lego set. E received enough Lego sets to keep him busy for about 5 days. Seriously. He built the whole thing himself too! This is a toy/gift I don't tire of ...according to the box, we've still got at least 7 more years to keep giving Legos. Nice.

Showing off his new Lego head lamp from Tim, Jessie & Ella. Thank you guys ... this made for the perfect 'thank you' card picture (yours is coming).

After our morning together, we start getting ready to head out to my parents house 'in the country' ... really, Matt would laugh at me for saying that, but given that they are surrounded by fields, I say it qualifies as country.

Summer AND Marshall join us. So glad to have Marshall back just in the nick of time. The poor guy was a bit shell shocked after all the travel, re-uniting with his wife, meeting his new pup, catching up with his older pup and oh, hello, touring the house he now lives in with his wife. Just a few reasons he's looking a bit tired here ...

I made my Mom some new PJ Pants. Do you think she likes them?

Between her smiles over PJ's and Summer's smiles over her new table runner and kitchen towels I think I hit the mark with the handmade gifts this year.

After we opened presents, we started getting things ready for dinner ... Summer & Marshall took a ride on the ATV and while Ethan had just as much (or more) fun sledding down the front 'hill' at Grandpa & Grandma's than opening presents. In fact stay tuned ... several of us had fun on this hill ;).

No pictures of Grandpa ... boo! He was a wreck between knee pain (need knee replacement), joint pain (later believed to be an infection he was fighting) and arm/shoulder pain (carpal tunnel which he had surgery on last week)!!

One more post to come with some great 'day after Christmas' photos. I love spending the afternoon/evening of Christmas with my family and being able to spend the night and wake up together for another bit of celebrating.

Stay tuned for one last holiday post with some of those 'action shots.'

Happy Wednesday!

Love the pictures - and the memories! Peggy read your blog and sent us an email - which spurred me to catch up!
