So I thought it would be fun to start a new weekly post with a bit of financial encouragement I've read recently along with what I consider my best "deal of the week."
First the encouragement. I read this post, Frugal Living in a Tiny Town, and it completely resonated with me. By the end I had an overwhelming sense of contentment with the life I'm living (and with that the realization of the great abundance I life with) and was once again itching to live in a "Tiny Town." I mean honestly, your husband walking to work ... you and the kiddos walking for errands. I love it. And while I know not all would see this as a dream come true, I hope you read it and can glean a bit of her wisdom for your life!
And my deal of the week ...
Well until yesterday at about 6PM it was going to be:
1 bag of 14 mini boxes of Sunmaid raisins for .50
(Albertsons has them on sale $1/bag ... combine that with a recent $1 off 2 and it's .50/bag.)
BUT THEN, I read about this. And while skeptical I read a bit more out of intrigue and after that bit of research decided to give it a try. After all I didn't have to divulge any personal information outside of my name and e-mail. And guess what? It worked ... and I have 24 (4oz) steak burgers on their way to me from Omaha Steaks for $3.98 TOTAL!!
Sadly, it appears that someone "within" learned of this great deal too and it is no longer available.
Also, I am updating my Walgreens/Grocery Shopping number to reflect the first half of the month's budget figures.
Happy Saving! Happy Wednesday!

You better not leave for a small town.
I'm so glad I got in on the beef deal! Thanks for sharing! I do feel bad that I passed it on to others and then it got taken down. Oops.
I didn't get to comment on your other post but I laughed when you said you were $4 over budget. I was going to make a smart remark about it but you already know what that would be. :)
