It's been a pretty sad existence in our house the last 48+ hours. Ethan's "small cold" from last week progressed into what I'm guessing is the flu (or RSV according to the doctor). Ethan has had a high fever the last 24 hours, ranging from 102 to 104. And he had to miss all the Valentine festivities ... both our tradition of delivering sugar cookie hearts and his preschool party. I do think he still had a special day, which started out with hearts hanging from the dining room and a special Diego movie and some M-n-M's. We also dropped off his classmates valentines and picked his up after school ... so he got to enjoy that a little.
We also "got to" spend 2 hours at the doctor's office only to hear the dreaded words that whatever it is it just needs to run its course. BLEH!
Today has been far worse than yesterday. He's running a fever of about 103.5 right now, with Tylenol, so you can be sure I'm watching him like a hawk. And now the fits of coughing have caused him to throw up. :(.
So we'd love your prayers, mostly for Ethan, then for Matt who is also sick (not quite as bad) and for me to stay healthy. Next week is a big "birthday week" and I really don't want him to miss out because of this crud.
Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday and a happy weekend ahead!
