And we're officially ...

FOUR!

What a fun day to be Ethan. I prepped last night, getting the streamers, balloons and decorations up so he'd have a "celebration" to wake up to. Matt made him a birthday breakfast of waffles with mini chocolate chips, which I topped with whip cream and sprinkles.

(He loves the birthday "blowers" ... LOVES them!)

(His "big" present from us, a digital camera ... which he LOVED and "always wanted"
and took 200 pictures with today!)

And then the party/playdate with our friends. I should have taken a picture of the house so you could see just how much fun these boys (all eight of them) and one little girl had! We both needed a nap after that :). And then we played with one of his new toys, the Easy Link by FP. I was a little skeptical about this one, but it's great. It allows him to play the games online I've already been letting him, but requires much less help from me and doesn't let him click or close or print from windows mama has open :).

The party was a Thomas/Train theme,
I took the easy route and did a "cupcake cake" with a little Thomas that went around a little track.

We wrapped up the celebrating with dinner at Red Robin, just the three of us. Ethan let them sing to him, but got shy when they showed up and tried to divert the attention off of himself by kissing me and quickly eating the whip cream. What a goof!

Tomorrow I'll do a little "All about Ethan" so I can remember what he likes right now in life and so I can write down some of the very funny things he's been saying lately. Maybe I'll even record a little message from him!

We'll also be taking "monkey" cupcakes to preschool tomorrow to continue our celebrating and then Friday night is our family party ... boy isn't it great to stretch out all the fun!

Happy Wednesday and more importantly, Happy Birthday to my favorite four year old!

Happy Birthday Ethan! We had fun celebrating with you!
I know I've said this a hundred times before but I LOVE that our kids are friends now too and that they are celebrating birthdays together like we used to. It's so great!
You did a great job on his party. I can't wait to see the pictures from the rest of the festivities.

Sounds like a great party! We are wanting to get Maddy a digital camera for her bday in April. We have looked at the FP (I think it's FP) Kid Tough one, what one did you get? Do you like it?

Happy 4th Birthday Ethan!!
