Playhouse Disney

So back in October (I think it was in October) my mom and I stumbled upon the fact that Playhouse Disney was coming in February, while we were looking for a different event. I thought it would be the perfect "kick off" to celebrating Ethan turning four this month.

As we headed to the venue, we told Ethan we were going on a surprise trip ... he of course, never even being to a movie before, had no idea what we were up to. Even as we walked up to the venue, he still had no idea, he just knew there were lots of kids going to whatever this was.

Once we got in and got our seats the wheels must have been turning in his little head ... in fact I think it was initially a bit overwhelming. We tried to explain what was going to happen but he looked pretty unsure. A light up Handy Manny wand was helping, but once Mickey Mouse showed up on stage all was well. Ethan was Ethan still, very reserved, no signing or standing up and dancing :), but I know he had a great time and so did my mom and I watching him enjoy this experience.

Now forgive the horrid pictures ... Ethan was too excited to get inside to take time for a photo op with Grandma.

And then once inside, you weren't allowed to use your flash (well people still did and I snuck in a few here and there). All the favorites of the show, Little Einsteins; Mickey Mouse, Minnie & Donald (Goofy too); Handy Manny and The Tools; and the whole crew (including My Friends Tigger & Pooh).

We finished the surprise with dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory and got to sit in the caboose of the trolley! Ethan was one tired boy after no nap and all that excitement!

Thanks Mom/Grandma, we both had a wonderful day!
