Thank you ...

Thank you Lord for your greatest gift, the gift of greatest love, Jesus.

(And thank you for this glorious morning full of snow!)

My heart is so full right now and I suspect it's going to overflow by the time tomorrow night comes. Baking is done (so happy about this), presents are wrapped and after a good long shower I'll be ready to enjoy the next 36 hours to the fullest.

I have to say that this has been one of the most enjoyable, stress-free Decembers that I can remember. We had to cut back on some of our gift giving due to financial constraints, but that allowed me to get creative with gifts and freed me from the stress of spending too much. Because really it's not about the gifts, is it? Sure, we all enjoy receiving, but I've been reminded in many ways this season (by this, and this and yes, even this) that Christmas is about LOVE (God's love) and grace and how that is ALL we need. The rest is just icing on the already sweet cake of life.

And it's about magic (as Kelly talked about on her recent post) in seeing Christmas through our children's eyes. The pure joy they get from simple things like a special movie, a morning in the snow or making special Christmas treats. You can't help but get caught up in all that joy when you share it with your children.

So, I'm wishing you a most blessed day of love and joy spent with your family and friends. Merry Christmas Eve!!

I've got the last of my baking in the oven right now and in a few hours we'll be off to my parents house to enjoy the evening.
Merry Christmas to you and Matt and Ethan!
