Onto more exciting things ...

Then grocery (which I type as grovery almost every time) shopping. Thank you for all the comments ... making me feel as though I hadn't totally gone mad ;). I think I was shaking my head along with each of you in some aspect. I am total type-A, OCD and it does flow into every part of my life including grocery shopping. I'll answer my own questions below sometime tomorrow.

So we were once again home bound yesterday and today ... going on six days with only a handful of outings and little Daddy time and Ethan and I are not only sick, but sick of each other I think ... we're at the end of our ropes ;). And just to prove how little we've been out, I filled up the car today and we had 1/4 tank left and it hadn't been filled in 10 days!

I've been trying to keep the peace with fun little activities throughout the day for both of us. Yesterday and today we cut out and baked the "Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" and while they were quite good (love me a sugar cookie) I think I'll stick with Martha's Sugar Cookies. These seemed a bit drier and less flavorful overall and the dough was a bit harder to work with. Both recipes yield about 6-7 dozen cookies (don't let the recipes fool you)! I think Ethan's favorite part was eating the dough ... LOL ... it was really good dough.

(This was from this afternoon, Ethan on the computer while I was cutting cookies,
love this shot of our everyday.)

And here's a funny little story, as we're making the cookies yesterday and he's watching them bake (first picture above) he says, "Mom, you want to fight?" Well, uhm, no I'd rather not. Seeing the confusion on my face he quickly said, "Let's fight about which cookie is the biggest." So for the subsequent batches, we would get in front of the oven and fight it out about which was the biggest cookie.

The other "treat" the last few days has been computer time (which is coming in a very close second to TV). Off and on we've let Ethan work on his letters and numbers with various online programs as seen here ...

"Letter O"

Well we've moved beyond "educational" and it's all just plain fun as he navigated at least a dozen different games on noggin.com. That look of concentration, the tongue sticking out ... is this the look of a future "gamer"?

I shudder at the thought. Which is why we will be monitoring this online time very closely, after all we are all very aware of the evil root it can take in ones life ;).

Well that and getting 2/3
rds through 4 of my 6 sewing projects bring us back to now. And I think I had more to share, but I've forgotten now, so I hope you enjoyed the pictures, the virtual cookies and pray that none of these horrible, horrible germ bugs come your way.

Prayers for a healthier day tomorrow, it's Ethan's
Pre-School Christmas Program and I've really been looking forward to it. We need some miraculous sleep tonight to have him in any shape to go and sing :(.

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. To celebrate the fact that so many of you talked grocery talk with me ... I'll be doing a little contest give-away tomorrow, sometime and it will be such that the first person to guess the correct answer will win. Sorry I can't say when as I'd have to hold myself to that and these days I'm not getting out of my jammies til' noon and brushing my teeth until 3PM!

I'm reading this post with Claire on my lap... she loves to see Ethan on the computer screen. She's gotten pretty good, she keeps saying "Etan, Etan!!"

Cookies look good! :)
