A new look ...

I'm shocked at myself ... not posting this sooner.

We've been on the hunt for a new couch/love seat/sectional for our living room for quite a few weeks ... but hadn't really looked "seriously" until a few weeks ago. I thought we were settled on a very large (somewhat pricey) sectional that we would custom order. And then we stopped at Costco for something ... and they were having their furniture sale and well, we came home with a new couch and chair in a totally different look and for half the price of the sectional. And really I love it ... I love the fabric, the casually sophisticated curves and feet ... I think it just works for us and our space.

And seeing as how I *saved* so much ... I've added a few more accent pieces. A leather ottoman (such a deal from Overstock.com) and a large basket chest to hide all the toys. I'm really loving it ... did I say that already?!?
The finishing touches will be a side table, a serving tray for the ottoman (for those few grown up times we have), a mantle and WALL ART. The walls are completely bare right now and it's making me crazy. So my hopes is to have the part done in a few weeks ... I've got the idea, I just need to execute it!! Maybe some accent painting down the road ... say when it's not 100 degrees for days on end!
