Ethan has graduated Kindergarten. Such a momentous event in his life (snicker, snicker). It was marked by a grand celebration. We were presented with three songs (including the lyrics above ... I don't make this stuff up) in the library followed by a certificate of graduation and a slide show.

{Ethan really got into this song ... I think his timing might be off?!?}
What followed after in the classroom could be compared to the likes of 22 five and six year olds during a happy hour. Lots of mingling, drinking lemonade, water and punch while devouring the free food (aka cupcakes and cookies).
I was surprisingly free of any type of emotional break down. Although seriously, could I cry when my baby's graduation cap was on sideways with the hang tag sticking straight out?

Look how far we've come ...

Same goofy grin, a few less teeth, a few inches taller ... but overall no drastic change. Still my sweet little guy who I get home for the next 7 weeks!!

So lucky to call this one 'my job' and spend my days making his world right.
Happy Tuesday!

Wishing you a slow summer, filled with fun!
Yay Ethan! I wish I could have been there for that special performance =)
Sweet!! He is just growing up so fast!
Love these pictures. I think the one with him clapping is my fav. :)
And your porch is SOOO cute!! I love it. Are you sitting out on it every evening now?
OMG - too funny. I love the comparision to happy hour - too bad you didn't videotape it! The pictures are great, and I am glad it was not a traumatic day for you! And just another party day for E - given his response when I called and said 'congratulations' (silence)and then 'on graduating' (silence)and 'are you glad to be done with kindergarten?' finally responding 'oh, yes'.
Oh goodness, I had that song stuck in my head for days after Maddy's graduation last year! Congrats Ethan on graduation :) First grade is a totally different school experience but I am sure he will love it!
