ROAR ...

Saturday night, the day after E's birthday, we filled the house with dinosaurs and got ready to celebrate with family. One of the perks of having almost all your family live within 15 miles of you is that you can't just have one party with everyone (which would be 30+ people ... and would make this high strung mama go crazy), you have to have two!

Thanks to some "props" from Kelly (and the boys) we filled the dessert table with dinosaurs and added some trees and I cut out a "Stegosaurus" for the big night. Again, this was so easy to put together. The cupcakes were simply frosted green and a small dinosaur figurine was added to each one.

Because this was a "family" party there weren't many kids, so I didn't really plan any games. Ethan worked on his new dinosaur puzzle with family and then Ethan and Claire (who really is like family to us) played and showed off their party favor, dinosaur tails (thanks again to Kelly who gave me this idea). We were missing Ethan's cousin Katie, who would have also made a cute little dino.

Again, a very fun day of celebrating my best little friend.

Stay tuned for a few more fun updates tomorrow, including a quiz to get to know my five year old. After that this blog will be going on vacation (HA, as if it hasn't been already) while its writer enjoys some R&R with some of her favorite people. She's really excited ... so excited in fact she's plowed through a bunch of sewing so she'd be ready to take a break. Do you like her talking in third person?

Alright, enough ... Happy Day!!
