Not the day I planned ...

Yesterday was my day to get up and run.
I didn't want to.
I hit snooze and tried to rationalize that the headache I had was reason not to go.
I got up.
I ran 3 miles.
I was glad I went ... and laughed when "get up, get up, put the body in motion" played over my iPod.

I came home to a little boy who had just thrown up.

Yep, not the day I planned.
No preschool.
Lots of cleaning ... floors, bedding, clothes, faces, bottoms (well only one bottom), doorknobs, toilets. BLEH!
I didn't shower until almost 8PM ... and need I remind you, I ran ... Eeeewwww!
As of 1AM this morning we've been free from projectile bodily fluids.

So, it wasn't the day I planned at all, but you know what, that's okay. I was first thankful that I didn't have to worry about who would watch him, calling into work, etc. I'm so happy my job is taking care of him and being able to make him as comfortable as possible when he's not feeling well. And he really didn't feel well yesterday. I was thankful to have time to catch up on blogs, cut out a lot of sewing projects (since I couldn't be all the way upstairs in my sewing room) at the kitchen table and just hang out. In fact I never put on "real clothes" yesterday :).

Today is looking up ...

And speaking of things not planned, remember I mentioned changes to summer plans ... want to know what I was talking about? Go see here and here.

Happy Friday!!

Poor little man. Thankfully, all we have here is a cold. I hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend.

Oh No, the yuck. Hope Ethan's back to his ol' self now. It's so sad to see them when they're so down, but makes you that much more grateful for when they're heatlthy.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
