Wrapping up the thanks ...

Not that I'm going to stop being thankful, but it seems that "Thanksgiving" is officially coming to an end and we're headed into the hustle, bustle, love and celebration of Christmas.

I enjoyed a very early morning/afternoon of shopping, with Jessica, Julie and Megan, on Black Friday. Call me crazy, but I just think it's pure fun to be out at that hour of the morning amongst all the "true crazy" shoppers. I was only after one great deal (which I got), but did manage to come home with a lot more. I'd saved some pennies for some clothes for me and ended up with two sweaters, jeans and two tops. I was finished with E's Christmas gifts already, but managed to find a few more items for stocking stuffers as well as some birthday gifts (like Leapster games for $15 each!). Add to this a yummy lunch and a power nap when I got home and it was a good day!

Tomorrow we'll be getting out the Christmas decorations and dressing up the house just in time to start December. I can't believe how quick our days are filling up ... I hope to plan out a few days dedicated to crafting and baking. Also, tomorrow I'm going to try and share the holiday crafts I'm planning and would love to hear about yours as well.

For now, let me finish up my two weeks of thanks with the rest of my days:

11.24.08
Thankful for Mondays. I don't think I've always been thankful for Monday. In fact when I was working outside the home, I most definitely was not thankful for Monday. But now, Monday means a fresh start. A week full of possibility ... a week full of routine, my routine that I get to plan. It just seems so full of potential and I love that feeling.

Today marks the 6th Anniversary of the Bunko group Julie and I started. Some of the members have changed in that time, but overall we've had the same wonderful group of ladies. What a highlight of my month, enjoying a night out with good food, friends, conversation and lots of laughter.

11.26.08
As I cleaned my house, really cleaned my house, for the first time in weeks I was reminded with each "chore" how thankful I am for a house to clean, clothes to wash, food to make meals with and the two other people who make our house a home and who I get to serve each and every day. What a blessing to get to make my house a home each and every day.

11.27.08
Thanksgiving Day. I'm thankful. So very thankful. At the root of all my thanks, is my Lord. Without His love and sacrifice, His grace and mercy, I would not be who I am today. I would not have the thankful heart I have. He is my foundation and what I am most thankful for.

Hopefully I can have a "scrapbooking" day this week and get these thankful thoughts into a mini album.

Happy Saturday!

P.S. New stuff up in the shop all weekend.
