I'm still thankful ...

Even if I haven't had time to post as much as I'd hoped ...

I'm thankful for simple little pleasures in my life. Matt went out and got me an iced tea and it made my morning. So simple, but so meaningful and something to give thanks for!

I filled up my car for $14.50 (@ 2.00/gallon)!!!!!!!! I immediately thought of how thankful I am for: Our fuel efficient vehicle, the huge blessing of only having one car to fill up and the recent and very quick fall of gas prices. I can't wait to see if it's under $2.00 this Sunday when I fill up.

(Guess What? I finally made Kelly's prize from way back when ... HA! And when I showed Ethan he said, "Let's take a family picture" and went to get "Flower Eyes." After I took their picture, he wanted to join in the family picture too :). )

I'm thankful for my friends. I know not everyone is as lucky as I am to have friends that reach far and wide and know me so well. I'm especially thankful for the blessing of childhood friends that I am still so very close to after almost 20 years!

(Thank you to Kelly for stopping by with some Sonic treats for Ethan and I ... it was a highlight in our day!)

So happy that today was preschool day. After six days "off" Ethan and I were both anxious to get back to our routine. We've had a bit of a "war of mental power" around here as of late and sadly, I did not always come up the victor. Boy are those four year olds quick ... they sure can wear a mama down. Ethan LOVES his preschool (as do I ... it's such a perfect fit for us) and always looks forward to learning, playing, creating and most of all being with other children.

I'm hoping to post a few peeks of all the sewing I've been doing ... maybe tomorrow while my little friend is on a playdate with his "might as well be my sister" and her wonderfully gracious and helpful mama. Oh and I need to share Ethan's "gorilla" story :).

Happy Tuesday!

Good job keeping up with everything! You and my sister deserve a week long vacation after all the prep you've been doing for Saturday! O.k., so maybe a nice long nap on Sunday is more realistic :)
