Tuesday = A very good day ... MOPS field trip to an indoor playground (so fun!!), winning a blog contest (more on this later ... but it was from a very wonderful knitting blog) and some Starbucks Iced Tea ... YUMMY day!
Wednesday = Another fun/busy day ... Play date with some special new friends and a haircut for Ethan from Mrs. "D" (Thank you, Thank you) ... Setting up new swings and toys in the church nursery (what a huge blessing this is) ... Mexican dinner with Aunt Julie and Travis ... Getting grocery shopping done, by myself ;).
Today isn't looking as promising as the last two ... I woke up feeling not so hot, but I'm fighting through it with Tylenol and Iced Tea. Little Max is here and that will at least be a distraction for me ... now to try and get a little nap in today.
Other thoughts in my head ... planning Ethan's third birthday party. I'd like to think that I don't go crazy over the top, and really it's just a fun party for family, but I do LOVE planning it and thinking about the fun details. As Ethan grows, I want his birthday to be a very special day to celebrate him and the joy he brings to our family. So, this year I think we'll do a "firetruck" theme. Ethan of course LOVES firetrucks and so this should be a fun surprise for him. Here are a few pictures of things I've been looking at:
And I've been wanting to paint Ethan's room and transition it from a "baby" room to a "big boy" room. My SIL gave me three really cute frames prints of a Plane, Train & Truck awhile ago ... I found this bedding and think it would be perfect match. Now to decide what color to paint ...
Phew, so happy to get all of that out of my head ... now I can move onto thinking of a hundred other random useless things ;).

Hope you feel better by tomorrow, we're all good here! I can't wait to do Claire's first party. I love the decorations you picked out, the cake is cute, and I love that little comforter. Have fun painting... I vote blue!
Well I can't say I'm surprised someone isn't feeling well. Guess who woke up with a yucky nose this morning? Carson. He just got done being sick! We'll see how he feels in the morning.
I, too, have been thinking birthday. I can't decide between Elmo & dogs. Carson obviously isn't any help and when I asked Garrett he said "How about a beach party?" Again no help. The firetruck stuff is cute!
I had to chuckle when I saw the bedding. We have those sheets. And an airplane set that coordinates, even though I don't think they're by the same people. When we started thinking about moving the boys into the same room we decided to go with a planes, trains and cars theme. I've slowly been accumulating stuff so we'll be ready to make it a big deal when we finally make the move sometime this year. I'm with Bethany, I vote blue. Although green would be cute too and we know how much you like green. :)
ohhh, love the firetruck goodies for the BD! Very cool!
And love the big boy bedding, too! I say pick a color that if you want to keep as he gets a little bit older, it will go with that too. Just my thought!
