Ethan's really been making me laugh lately with his budding personality ... between the crazy antics he pulls, the make believe (you should see it when he becomes "Monster Ethan") and the inner workings of his little mind ... well it just makes me happy :). Kelly's post today made me want to share this funny Ethan conversation ...
After telling Ethan we were going to go get ice cream tonight, he told me he wanted pink ice cream. Okay, that should be easy. Then he told me that baby Jesus wanted black ice cream ... hmmm, okay ...
So we get in the car with our ice creams ... Ethan is eating his pink (peppermint with candy cane bits) ice cream all by himself and I'm sitting in the back to assist if need be. He declares he has pink ice cream, then looks at mine (chocolate peanut butter) and says:
E - Baby Jesus have black ice cream?
M - Okay
E - Where's Baby Jesus?
M- Well ...
E - Throw Him away?
Oh goodness, to hear it in person was even funnier. The reason Ethan thought we threw baby Jesus away was because we packed up the nativity set today and put baby Jesus "to bed" until next year, but I guess he got confused. So sweet, it just melts me ...

Did you go to Baskin-Robbins? Their chocolate peanut butter ice cream, the one with the thick ribbons of peanut butter, is my absolute favorite. Mmmmmmm
