A lot of rambling ...

Okay, so I had a plan to post yesterday about being "back to the grind." This is our first "normal" week in a long time and I had to get my lazy self out of bed at 6:15AM yesterday to be ready for my little Max. I was so tired from a "full" day that I was in bed for the night at 9:15PM. So, while I was back in our routine, the blog did not get updated ...

So, I have just a few ramblings to share ...

The first being pictures of some of the Christmas projects I was working on ... why I'm just now posting I'm not sure ... but just enjoy the pictures.

The Christmas Button Tree ... that was way too much money, but oh so cute!

A knitting needle bag for Jess ... I got the idea when a good friend made me one last year. So I looked at a few others and made my own "pattern" ... and how cute is the measuring tape ribbon that holds it closed?!?

And lastly, this was a knitty bitty button hat that Lauren purchased for her niece. This was my first time doing a flower and I love it on the hat ... so girly and fun!
There were a few more purses, desk calendars and t-shirts, but in a hurry to wrap and give they didn't get photographed ... boo-whoo!

We spent the last weekend doing a whole lot of nothing, which was wonderful. Just being lazy, taking naps, going on a date night, catching up on cleaning and enjoying Tim & Jessie's company once again. What a treat to have them two weeks in a row. I don't really think there is anyone else I could have in my house for that long and still love them to pieces. I can't wait to have them here again ... you can read about their exciting weekend of hob-nobbing on Jess' blog.

And one last thought ... as we were leaving Target today (and boy do I love Target) there was a woman behind us in a motorized cart. Well I simply asked her if she would like me to put her items on the register belt ... I could not believe how floored she was by this. I mean she could not thank me enough for lifting like 6 things out of her cart. Something that took me 30 extra seconds made her day ... she even said so ... as we headed out I heard her say, "that young lady just made my day." And you know what, that made my heart smile and made my day too!

Okay ... on with the week ... Happy Tuesday!!

Yea for a new post! :)
I love the way the button tree turned out. I'm going to stock up on buttons and pins all year so I can make a couple. I also saw a button ball on 2peas that was super cute.
The desk calendar you mentioned...is it like the one on your friend Lauren's blog? I really like that one & want to know how to make it.

Oh I forgot to mention the nice thing you did for that lady. It's so true what "they" say about giving. It can almost feel like a selfish act with how good it makes the giver feel.

Not that I'm saying your selfish. I hope you didn't take it that way.

Okay I'm done. I promise!

Cute tree, cute knitting needle bag, cute hat! Everything you make is just so cute, cute, cute... you are just so darn talented!
Loved your Target story as well, I'm glad that she didn't hesitate to tell you how much your warm heart meant to her. You warm mine all the time and I'm not nearly as generous with the thanks. So, Thank You, you make my day all the time :)

In fact...I put the knitting needles in 'said knitty bitty bag' last night. I LOVE it! I transfered all of my items from my plastic bag to the cute fabric bag. :) Thank you Andrea.

Love the Target story - I'm not surprised that you did that - I think it's sweet that the lady told you thank you. I always knew you were the best. :)
