Finally on Friday post ...

  • Track break starts today! Whoo-hoo! 3 weeks of NO SCHOOL!
  • We're celebrating by taking a little over a week of R&R (with a 5K race thrown in for fun on March 14th).
  • This blog will be extra boring the next week or so
  • I realized I never shared this splashy bit of fun in my entry way ... it was created from an old (really rusty) metal bench frame that Kelly and I spotted at an Estate Sale. I would have left it ... I'm glad you convinced me to bring it home. Some sanding, primer, spray paint and fabric cushion ... and I've got myself a little bit of happy every time I walk into our house.

  • Notice the matching shoes and purse. A little splurge (the purse) and a big splurge (the shoes) for spring/summer. Love them both.
  • I really want to splurge on this or this. I don't think either will happen. However, I have not really splurged on clothing since November ... pretty good.
  • We've got a new friend for track break ... meet "Orangey" ... he's quite cute and LOVES to eat. It's the new highlight of breakfast/dinner time.

  • I've been sewing A LOT this week and while I'm giving away 95% of what I made, I did sneak in a little sewing for me. I've been wanting to make one of these baskets for some time and finally did it. "Bottom supplies" never looked so cute ;).

  • I think that is all I have to share right now ... but at least it's something, right?
Happy Friday & Happy Weekend!

Sigh. Seriously - could you be ANY CUTER??? I don't think so. I LOVE the bench!! So glad you saw potential in it - I don't think I would have. It's the best!!! Love the shoes, purse, fish is cool, love the bathroom bottom supply stack. So cute. <3

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that bench. I think I need one. Love that anthro cardigan too. I have a $100 anthro card I've been hoarding. I can't decide what to use it on. Cute bathroom basket too.

Cute, Cute, and more cute! It's so awesome to create something and then to get to enjoy it everyday is even better.
Wow! I'm pretty sure I've never splurged on shoes other than running shoes, which I think are a necessity, so that's negates the splurge.
Love the fish, and the name. :)
And of course nice work on the basket!

You inspire me!

Born shoes are so amazing. I had a pair once and wore them everyday for almost 3 years (when I wasn't wearing tennies) then they died. I might have to get a new pair now :)
