Today was a GREAT day. It started off with fresh baked cookies to take to our playdate at the park. We met up with Amanda, Andrea, Bethany, Kelly & Summer for a wonderful time of eating, playing and chatting. And all 13 children got along marvelously and I came home with one very happy albiet tired little boy. Oh and the icing on the cake? When we got to the park there were not one, but two firetrucks doing a little training in the parking lot. Ethan got a personal tour of the truck and was even given permission to ride in the driver seat ... but my overly cautious child passed up the opportunity and we settled for a picture of him standing outside the driver door. Does a morning get any better than that?!?!And I rounded out the great day with *almost* finishing a scrapbook project (so happy to be doing a little creating) and making 10 pints of peach freezer jam and peach butter ... YUM!!
After an evening run, I'm ready to head for the shower, grab my book, jump in bed and enjoy this wonderful start to the weekend!!

Bummer, we missed the firetruck! Maddy and Bryson would have loved that. We had a great time at the park. We need to do that again before the nice weather is no more :) Have a great weekend!

I'm glad you got your jam and butter made. Isn't it so good? Canning, by the way, is much easier than it looks. I'll let you know when I start next year, although I still have a couple more things on my list for this year.
